When you create an account we collect your email address and a password (handled by our authentication provider — we never see or store your password in plain text). You can optionally add a username and a profile photo. As you use the app we store the content you create: tournaments, series, matches, scores, team picks, friend connections, and the names you enter for guest players.
Your data is used only to run the app: signing you in, showing your tournaments and stats, and connecting you with friends. FutBoxd contains no advertising, no third-party analytics, and no tracking. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing.
Your username, profile photo, and email address are visible to people you are connected with: accepted friends, people with a pending friend request between you, and participants in tournaments, series, or matches you share. They are not visible to anyone else, and there is no public directory or search of users.
Your data is stored with Supabase, our database and authentication provider, and is encrypted in transit. Your sign-in session is kept on your device in the operating system's secure storage.
You can block any user to stop them from contacting you, and report users for abusive or inappropriate content or behavior from the Friends screen. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours, and we remove offending content and eject users who violate our standards.
You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete account. This removes your profile, photo, friend connections, and the tournaments you host. Matches you played against other people are kept for their records, but with your identity removed.
FutBoxd is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
